Training For Navy Boot Camp
Navy boot camp is an interesting career if you want to face mental and physical challenges. Recruit Training Command is the only navy boot location camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. It involves eight weeks of training. Want to get recruit yourself as a sailor you have give exams after the training. There are stages to pass the exam. There are different tests which include curl ups, sit-reaches, push-ups and 1.5 mile run. To reach the advance stage trainer need to complete these tests. These tests are focused on knowledge related to emergency evacuation procedure, knot tying and general sea navigation. You will get many experiences at this place so get ready to move ahead with RTC.
Step 1
First step is to make a plan for exercise which includes cardio; stretching, weight lifting, etc make plans for workout at least for 40 minutes on alternate days. While weight lifting includes crunches, squats, bicep curls pull-ups and bench presses. Make yourself well prepare for physical exercises. Minimum 40 minutes of minutes of exercises are compulsory according to OPNAV Instruction 6110.1H for all the trainees. This document also says about the program which should include strength training, aerobic training and flexibility training. Working more every moment is compulsory when you are preparing for book camp.
Step 2
It is very important to train your mind to face everything which helps you to train your body. Read the main requirements according to your gender and age in Navy Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) manual it is also known as Physical Readiness Test (PRT). To pass this review you need to complete a 1.5 mile with additional sit-ups and push-ups.
Step 3
Practice jumping and swimming in the pool this is the part of diving and swimming and it is a part of your training boot experience.
Step 4
Learning military steps and practicing matching are also the part of your navy boot camp. This marching includes half-steps and skip-steps. You will learn every exercise and steps from your recruiter even if you are in the Delayed Entry Program.
Step 5
Navy boot camp exclusively covers the history of U.S. Navy which you have to go through. Honor, Courage and Commitment are the core values of U.S. Navy which you need to learn as classroom requirements during the camp. Follow the orders of the head and Sentry and experience the basics of U.S. Navy to be a successful sailor in States.
Step 6
Learn to follow the orders and rules from sentry. Ask for permission for every movement like going to head (bathroom) or making rack (bed) for yourself all you need to ask for permission in the form of permission slip and go through all the U.S. Navy terminologies. Spend one hour daily to study the rules and terminologies of Navy Boot Camp.
Step 7
While getting into boot camp you have to quit all the alcohol consumption products like smoking, drinking etc. you are not allowed to smoke so before joining a boot camp you have to leave all the addictions. You will be prepared to face the mental and physical challenges to make your career in the Navy.
