During entire pregnancy a women always think of the best nutrition she can provide to the unborn child. And as the child is born it becomes very difficult to maintain their health. Babies and especially toddler’s health is very much essential. It is the right time to set their base for eating. Once you set certain things in their mind they follow it for the rest of their life. As it is said childhood is the right time to mold a child in good and healthy human being.
Kids especially babies and toddler are mischievous in regards with their food. They easily get attracted to fancy and colorful food. They will not even look at some healthy snack for, them the texture of food matters the most. And it
becomes a toughest task for mothers to feed their kids with the right nutrition. The stomach of infants and toddlers are very small hence it is essential for them to grab small food throughout the day. So let them have mini meals in short intervals. It will be healthy as well as they will stay away from hunger.
Usually it happens that kids skip their snack time as they are busy playing. But it is necessary to follow the regular intervals so that it becomes a habit for them. Apart from all these, they are huge fussy about eating habits. They will eat the food stuff which they like. However you try to make them understand they don’t listen. Thus the only solution to these problems is you need to prepare the food smartly. We just need to make out something interesting out of the regular staple diet. You can make healthy snacks in attractive ways and serve them like:
Baby snack:
Babies are fussier about eating. Thus you can make some fruit pudding or fruit sauce which is included in their favorites. Apple sauce or fruit pudding are some of the best options. In fruit pudding many fruits can be clubbed and thus you can have all nutrition in one plate. Mix it with some cheese and nuts for healthier snack. Add some sliced banana in any pudding.
Fresh fruits:
Instead of having whole fruit kids are usually attracted towards fruit juice. So you can make fruit juices and let them enjoy this healthier drink. Do not let them indulge in cola drinks or tea and coffee. Generally in an attempt to intimate parents’ kids start drinking tea and coffee and later on get addicted to it. So let the focus on fruit juice but be aware that
there are no artificial flavors or colors added to the fruit juice. Blend fruits and make out some delicious smoothies, thick shakes or mix it with yogurt for nutritious drink.
Vegetables:
Veggies are kids’ biggest enemies. If given a chance they will definitely replace them in counter strike and kill them. But we all know that it is very much essential to consume vegetables in good amount. Vegetables are loaded with vitamins, minerals and iron which are very much essential for good health. Thus it is very important to feed kids with greenies. In such situation we can club vegetables in different open sandwiches and give then some cartoon, animal or object shape. This way they will get attracted to vegetables and consume it happily. You can make out fish by cutting carrot. Club all vegetables with cheese to get better taste. And if you are worried about calories then substitute it with low fat cheese. Even you can add some yogurt to salads.
Stuffing:
Kids love the food that is wrapped or stuffed. But parents try to avoid such wraps because of the excessive fats and calories they possess. Get your worries down and wrap their stuffing with vegetables spiced with some herbs or you can add some mash potato stuffing in whole wheat bread and spice it with pepper for better taste. Children also love peanut butter with toast. You may substitute peanut butter with cheese spreads. Potato is in general favorite among all kids thus you my club any other vegetable with mash potato and bake it.
Mini pizzas:
Pizzas are favorite snack of toddlers. They love it immensely and even parents do not stop them as somehow they eat all vegetables and cheese that is included in pizzas. Smartly design the vegetable topping for your kids as they may eat unintentionally and get those neglected nutrition.
Pasta:
Pasta is also one of the favorite party snacks. Pasta made from whole wheat grain is considered to very healthy and possess many nutrition. It can be clubbed with many vegetables thus making it healthier.

I also wish if you can get watermelon all season! They are so watery!
toddlers shouldn’t be given solid food till their teeth is matured propely. Until then only on semi liquid forms like juices or cereals.
I don’t agree cheese to be good for the toddlers. Taste wise they will love it but if you go for nutrients then it won’t work out.
Toddlers don’t eat blend food or only salads, they get bugged soon so you need to modify food so they can enjoy and get intake of nutrients as well.
Pizzas and pastas may not be that healthy but it is necessary for the toddlers to have different taste of food in order to increase their taste buds or taste sense.
