Along with a sensible fitness program, proper diet is also important. Proper diet plans include intake of adequate amount of proteins, carbohydrates & other essential vitamins. To properly follow this diet it is necessary to consume protein rich food ingredients having sufficient amount of amino acids in it. Same applies for carbohydrates & vitamins also.

Intake of proteins on daily basis is very essential to maintain healthy living. A person on an average consumes proteins more that what is required. Not all the proteins consumed contain all 22 amino acids. For a complete protein diet it is very essential to include well-balanced meals containing meat or tofu, vegetables & dairy products. Compromise on carbohydrates & increase the level of proteins in your diet. Try out for variety of foods that are rich in their protein contents. Turkey, pork & chicken breast are also allowable. Instead of red meat, go for tofu, tempeh, seitan & various other soy based products. Prepare a perfect food combination inclusive of food stuffs having high proteins & proportionate level of carbohydrates.

Initially start with ½ cup of tofu in your meal; later on gradually increase the amount of intake. Natural soy supplements containing no animal byproducts are also available. Soy supplements are available in bars & powders as similar to whey & casein supplements. Avoid breaded & highly processed faux meat, they may contain chemicals & flavors but they lack in actual nutrients. There are various vegetarian meal replacements like nutritional yeast, this yeast is rich in proteins & can be mixed & used with almost any foods. It adds flavor & a bit color to the food. Nutritional yeast is also rich in various other essential vitamins that are not adequately available in other vegetarian ingredients. You can use this yeast in several ways, like sprinkling on popcorn or adding in soups. For a perfect protein diet, combining nutritional yeast with soy & protein supplements is very essential.
