Cold sores are contagious; they tend to spread with the touch. If you have someone closer to you who is affected with sores, avoid contact with them, go for safety measures. Wash your hands with anti septic soap frequently, use hand sanitizers, avoid sharing your stuff like kerchiefs & towels with the one having blisters, replace your toothbrush after a certain intervals. If affected by cold sores, avoid wearing make-up, this will envelop the blisters & will develop further infection.
