Night sweats refers to excessive occurrence of sweat during sleep. In medical terms it is called as sleep hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating at night may indicate some internal & external triggers. These factors can help to develop the syndrome of night sweats. For females over 40, menopause may be the primary factor that can lead to excessive sweating at nights. - Another reason can be your daily medication. If things are not working out, ask your physicians regarding side effects of your medications. If medications are the culprit, ask for the alternative that would not have any side effect.
