Tension: A Devil To Be Avoided

Tension is excess effort. That means trying too hard to do things which should be done automatically. When a person is stressed, it leads to fatigue. And this fatigue burns the energy of the body. When we become tense, then our body also becomes affected. Our muscles become tense, rigid and this sends the signal of being confused to the brain. The blankness which a person suddenly feels when he suddenly faces an audience, although he is well prepared, is a result of tension because of which his psychomotor mechanisms get jammed thus resulting in blankness like situation.
Tension can be caused by various factors. But a basic tension causing factor is putting too much emphasis on the ultimate goal. That is when you try too hard to win then it leads to a mental block and actually ends up hampering [...]
