Few phases in life are so amazing that they leave you with a full fledge experience. You learn a lot of things and you tend to share those with almost everyone. Giving birth to a child is the most beautiful experience any woman can have. And apart from huge pain, a woman has to be very cautious, careful and healthy during the days of her pregnancy. I can very well understand those feelings, as during my pregnancy I was flying somewhere in seventh heaven. I just dint know how do I express them but, I can just say that it was incredible feeling. Nevertheless, I had become more cautious, alert and sensitive. That’s the reason I felt a terrible pang when I my doctor declared that I am anemia victim and will have to face major complication.

I was stabled when my gynecologist explained me with all the details and preventions that would avoid complications anemia during pregnancyduring pregnancy. He had told me very prior that it could be controlled and overcome. From the very day I knew that I am the only responsible for my child’s health. If I am not healthy then no one can actually take care of my child. And definitely in not any circumstances I wanted my child to be born unhealthy. So I personally started taking some extra effort to fight against anemia.

Well it is nothing new with pregnant women if she is declared anemic. My doctor had first told me that anemia means that your body is not receiving sufficient amount of iron. During pregnancy our body needs more iron as, iron helps in carrying oxygen to the blood stream. It also heals the body and creates red blood cells. The lack of iron usually indicates low amount of blood cells in the body. Many time anemias in pregnancy are the result of extreme exhaustion. Hectic schedule leads to tiredness and weakness in the body and thus initiates anemia.

Usually if women are suffering from anemia there are certain signs which might warn us about anemia. The symptoms like dizziness, faster heart beat, palpitation, weakness, loss of appetite and improper sleep indicate that there is chance of anemia. Thus it is better to get yourself analyze from specialist. Just a simple blood test can solve this problem.

And the best solution to overcome anemia is to consume proper diet. A proper diet is the solution to all the problems. The very first thing, understand that you are carrier of food to some one. There is someone in your body, whom you have to provide with sufficient amount of nutrition. You need to provide good amount of iron to your body. Being a carrier of oxygen to the blood stream; iron supplies blood to unborn child and helps in his growth and development. Thus, you need to maintain a well balanced diet to cope up this problem.

Food is the best solution to overcome iron deficiency in body. Many of the food items contain good amount of iron. And they are sufficient to fight against this deficiency. Change your diet regulations and make some sensible modifications to your daily consumption. Cut down certain products which are harmful for the growth and development of the body. Modify your diet in the respective ways:

  • Indulge your self in lots of fresh green leafy vegetables. Vegetables are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and green leafy vegetablesiron. They are also good antioxidant which helps to flush out all toxins from the body. Try to eat as many of vegetables in your diet. Include steamed vegetables in your lunch and dinner. In mean while grab some fresh green vegetable salad which will help you to gain good amount of nutrients. Vegetables like spinach, broccoli, tomato, sweet potato, potato, carrots, fenugreek, beet root red peppers, and green peas are the best source to gain iron.
  • Enjoy fruits at every interval of your meal time. Fruits are the best source to gain iron in the body. After your body intakes iron, it also needs to be absorbed by the body. Thus, our body reacts efficiently to the intake of raw food that contains good amount of iron. In the case of iron deficiency, eat good amount of fruits daily at an interval of every two hours.
  • Fruits like grape fruit, cantaloupe, orange, strawberries, mulberries, watermelon, fig, and apricots are richest source of iron. Fruits contain good amount of water which hydrates your body. Club all colorful fruits in a bowl to prepare a fruit dessert. You may even add a scoop of ice cream to your dessert to make it more delicious. These fruits are also high in vitamin C which enhances the intake of iron by the body. It helps the body to absorb iron content. Being easily digestible they can be taken any time of the day.
  • Replace the food items like fried chips, salted nuts, chocolates, and junk food with fruit salad, vegetable salad, anemia food to avoidand unsalted nuts. Munch on dried fruits whenever you feel hungry in the mid time. Walnuts, cashew, almonds, dried apricots, dried figs and dates are the best mid time snack. While traveling carry a nutty bar which will provide you with amazing amount of energy and nutrition. Add nuts to your breakfast or mix it with some milkshake.
  • Then grab good amount of sprouts like lentils, kidney beans, alfalfa, barley and mung which are very much beneficial to boosts the amount of iron in your body. Eat vegetable salad in night, dressed with sprouts and lime juice. Include them in your regular diet.
  • Cut down the consumption of tea, coffee and soft drinks. Instead of sipping all these caffeinated drinks, drink all healthy nutritious drinks which will boost your energy level. Consume good amount of fruit juice, vegetable juice, milk, lime juice, or butter milk. They all are amazing source of nutrition.
  • Replace the intake of white sugar with honey. Honey is great energy booster as well it is good antioxidant which honeyhelps to maintain the health. The intake of honey in regular your diet improves the level of hemoglobin and purifies the blood system. Being a natural sweetener it guards our body against many infections. Avoid consuming white flour. Shift your self to whole grain or whole wheat products.

Just follow your diet strictly which will help your child grow properly. This daily diet definitely helped me and I could have my baby healthy. Proper diet will also avoid many complications like high blood pressure, weakness, severe bleeding, and deformity in unborn child during pregnancy. Also throw away all your stress and worries in rubbish bin. Get ensured that you would have healthy and safe delivery. Welcome the baby with smiles and good health in this world. Always remember you are the only responsible for the growth and development if your child. So eat right, sleep tight and carry out some light exercise. And have a healthy baby with a normal delivery.
